British Aircraft Corporation

The British Aircraft Corporation (BAC) was a major British aerospace manufacturer formed in 1960. While BAC itself no longer exists (it became part of British Aerospace, now BAE Systems), its historical impact is significant. Well-known historical products include the BAC One-Eleven short-haul jet, the BAC TSR-2 strike aircraft, the BAC Strikemaster light attack jet, and most famously, the Anglo-French supersonic airliner, Concorde. BAC’s legacy is primarily in historical, pioneering aircraft, rather than current production.
