YAK-52W

The YAK-52W is a variant of the foundational Yakovlev Yak-52, a two-seat primary military and aerobatic trainer aircraft. The original Yak-52 was designed by the Yakovlev Design Bureau in Moscow, Russia, during the Soviet era. Yakovlev is one of Russia’s most important aircraft design bureaus, known for a range of successful civilian and military aircraft since its founding in 1927.

While designed by Yakovlev, the majority of the Yak-52 aircraft, including over 2,000 units, were built by Aerostar in Bacau, Romania. This manufacturing arrangement was typical under the old Communist system where design bureaus focused on creation and other facilities handled production. The YAK-52W variant typically reflects modifications or Westernized improvements to the original robust design.

A range of platforms and access solutions support maintenance around this aircraft, ensuring access to critical components. These include the Reach Deck Platform, Modular Stepover Platforms, Super Trestle Scaffold, and Ultraraise. These products support access for inspection and repair across all key aircraft sections, including the Nose Section, Landing Gear, Wing & Engine Pylon, and Tail Section.
