S2R-T45

The Ayres S2R-T45 is a pivotal member of the Turbo Thrush family, a line of agricultural aircraft initially developed from the Rockwell Thrush Commander. Ayres Corporation, founded by Fred Ayres, took over production and further developed the aircraft, establishing a reputation for building tough, specialized planes for aerial application. The S2R-T45, specifically, represents the continued evolution of this reliable airframe, designed for heavy-duty work in diverse environments.

Maintenance access for the S2R-T45 demands specialized height platforms tailored for the aircraft’s structure. Various access platforms and stands are available to ensure effective maintenance across critical areas. These solutions provide safe and efficient reach for the Nose Section, including avionics and radome. Access systems also support work on the Forward Fuselage, vital for cabin entry and lighting systems, as well as the Landing Gear areas.

Furthermore, platforms facilitate service for the Middle Fuselage and Wing Box Area, particularly for accessing fuel tanks and interior cabin components. The Wing and Engine Pylon, crucial for engine maintenance (inlet/exhaust, fan, compressor, turbine), also require specialized access. Platforms allow technicians to reach the AFT Fuselage for rear avionics and cargo areas, and the Tail Section, supporting work on the vertical and horizontal stabilizers. These tailored platforms ensure thorough, methodical maintenance for this hard-working agricultural plane.
