BN2A

The BN2A is a model variant of the Britten-Norman Islander, a foundational light transport aircraft. The Islander series originated with the initial BN-2 design, which first flew in 1965 and received certification in 1967. Manufactured by Britten-Norman, the company is recognized as the UK’s only independent commercial aircraft producer, having built over 1,300 aircraft. The BN2A variant, like the original, is valued for its simple, sturdy design and short take-off and landing (STOL) capabilities, making it ideal for commuter and utility roles. Pilatus’s association reflects a period in the manufacturer’s history.

A range of platforms and access solutions are utilized for maintenance and inspection of the BN2A. These products support detailed access for areas like the Nose Section (including the Windshield & Cockpit and Bulkhead), the Wing & Engine Pylon (including the Engine and Fuel Tanks), and the Landing Gear (Nose Landing Gear and Main Landing Gear). These access products are indispensable for methodical maintenance across the aircraft’s critical sections.
