B.121 SERIES 2

The Beagle Aircraft B.121 SERIES 2 is a single-engine light aircraft, part of the Beagle Pup family. The aircraft was produced by Beagle Aircraft Limited, a British manufacturer established in 1960 through the merger of Auster Aircraft and F. G. Miles Limited. Beagle Aircraft focused on producing light civil aircraft but faced financial difficulties, leading to government receivership in 1969 and ultimately ceasing operations in 1970.

A range of platforms and access solutions are utilized for maintenance around this aircraft. These elevated work stands, platforms, and scaffolding provide the necessary height and stability for detailed, methodical work across the airframe.

For the Nose Section (Radome, Avionics, Windshield & Cockpit) and the Forward Fuselage (Main Entry Door, Cargo/Baggage, Forward Wheel Well Access), modular stepover platforms, platform ladders, and service stands offer ergonomic access. The landing gear (NLG + MLG) benefits from the stability of trestle scaffolding and bridge decks for routine inspections and repairs.

Access to the Middle Fuselage/Wing Box Area (Fuel Tanks, Cabin Interior, Emergency Exit) and the Wing & Engine Pylon (Engine components, Hydraulics, Undercowl) is enhanced by cantilever platforms and deck platforms. These solutions ensure personnel can safely reach and work on all sides of the engine and wing structures.

Finally, the AFT Fuselage and Tail Section (APU components, Vertical Stabiliser, Horizontal Stabiliser, Rudder) are accessible using tall, sturdy scaffolding and service stands, allowing for thorough maintenance of the empennage and rear components.
