Sukhoi

Sukhoi is a major Russian aerospace and defense company primarily known for manufacturing military aircraft. It is part of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC).

Current well-known products include advanced fighter jets such as the Su-35 “Flanker-E” and the fifth-generation Su-57 stealth fighter. They also produce the Su-30 family of multirole fighters, which are widely exported.

Historically, Sukhoi is famous for its line of “Su” fighters and attack aircraft. Notable historical products include the Su-7 and Su-17/20/22 variable-sweep wing aircraft, and the iconic Su-27 “Flanker,” which formed the basis for many modern variants. They have also developed several tactical bombers and ground attack planes like the Su-24 and Su-25. The company also had a civil aviation venture, the Superjet 100 regional airliner, now under the Irkut corporation within UAC.
