Hiller Aviation

Hiller Aviation, founded by Stanley Hiller Jr., was a pioneering American helicopter manufacturer, now primarily known for its historical impact on vertical flight technology. Historically, Hiller produced a range of innovative helicopters. Well-known historical products include the Hiller 360 (which became the UH-12), a widely used light utility helicopter, and the Hiller XH-44, an early coaxial rotor design. Other notable models include the Hiller OH-23 Raven, used for observation and training by the military. While the original manufacturing company has evolved through various acquisitions, its legacy lives on in its historical designs and through the Hiller Aviation Museum, dedicated to the history of aviation in Northern California.
