Originally produced by the Great Lakes Aircraft Company, it is now being manufactured as the “Great Lakes by WACO.” The modern Great Lakes by WACO maintains the classic look with a welded steel-tube structure, staggered wings, and open cockpits, while incorporating modern design and safety standards. It is fully aerobatic and can be configured for tasks like banner towing. Historically, the aircraft is known for its role as a popular trainer and sport aircraft.
