Fairchild - Dornier

Fairchild Dornier was an aerospace manufacturer formed in 1996 when Fairchild Aircraft (USA) acquired Dornier Luftfahrt GmbH (Germany). The company specialized in commuter and regional jet aircraft.

Current Products: The company declared insolvency in 2002, so it has no currently produced products. Projects like the Fairchild Dornier 728JET and 428JET were cancelled, though some 728JET prototypes were built.

Historical Products: Well-known historical products include the Dornier 328JET (a commuter jet with 110 units built) and the earlier propeller-driven Dornier 328. The company’s heritage also includes the Fairchild T-46 trainer and the Dornier 228/328 series.
