Bell Boeing

Bell Boeing is a joint venture between Bell Textron and Boeing to develop and manufacture tiltrotor aircraft, primarily the V-22 Osprey. The V-22 is their most well-known current product, combining the vertical takeoff and landing capabilities of a helicopter with the speed and range of a fixed-wing aircraft. The partnership focuses on the development, production, and maintenance of the Osprey for military applications, such as the MV-22 for the U.S. Marine Corps and the CV-22 for the U.S. Air Force. While the collaboration is centered on the V-22, the parent companies, Bell and Boeing, have extensive and distinct product histories. Bell’s products include the AH-1Z and UH-1Y helicopters, while Boeing’s historical products include the B-17 Flying Fortress and the B-52 Stratofortress bomber.
