ZLIN Z.242L

The ZLIN Z.242L is a single-engine, two-seat sport, personal, and trainer aircraft produced by Moravan Otrokovice. It is a highly developed variant within the Zlín 42, 142, and 242 series. This aircraft is often referred to as the Z 242L Guru and is readily identified by its relatively wide cowling, which houses its flat-four engine. In 2021, a revised version called the Zeus was introduced, featuring a less angular tail and revisions to the undercarriage.

Moravan Otrokovice, the Czech manufacturer, has a history in aviation dating back to the Zlín series’ first flight on October 17, 1967, and introduction in 1970. The company remains active in aircraft production, with the Zlín series continuously manufactured since 1967. The Zlín 142 variant proved to be the most popular model in the aircraft line, establishing the manufacturer’s reputation in the trainer and light aircraft segment.

A range of platforms and access solutions are utilized for maintenance and inspection of this aircraft. Modular stepover platforms and various stands are ideal for servicing the Nose Section (Windshield & Cockpit, Avionics) and the Landing Gear (Nose Landing Gear and Main Landing Gear). For the Wing & Engine Pylon sections, specialized platforms address engine maintenance (Inlet/Exhaust, Engine Body) and fuel system access. For general access to the fuselage and tail section, cantilever and elevated work platforms offer versatile reach.
