YAK-9UM

The YAK-9UM is a variant of the legendary Yakovlev Yak-9 fighter aircraft. The original Yak-9 series, designed by the A.S. Yakovlev Design Bureau in the Soviet Union, was foundational to Soviet air superiority during World War II. Production of the Yak-9 ran from October 1942 to December 1948, with over 16,769 units manufactured across several Soviet factories, including Plant No. 153 (Novosibirsk). Known for its lighter metal structure, the Yak-9 allowed for increased fuel and armament capacity compared to previous models.
