YAK 55M

The YAK 55M is a single-seat aerobatic aircraft designed for competition and high-performance maneuvers. Developed by the Yakovlev design bureau, the YAK-55 lineage began with the first flight of the initial Yak-55 on May 28, 1981, in the Soviet Union. The Yakovlev team, led by chief engineers P. Kondratiev and D. K. Drach, designed this aircraft as an all-new cantilever monoplane, specifically tailored to excel in the rigorous aerobatic circuits.

The YAK 55M variant, featuring a smaller wing for increased roll rate, first flew in May 1989 and entered production in 1990. The Yakovlev design bureau has a long and respected history in Soviet and Russian aviation, producing foundational military trainers, fighter aircraft, and civil designs.

A range of platforms and access solutions are utilized for maintenance around this aircraft. These products support detailed maintenance and access needs across key sections including the Nose Section (Windshield & Cockpit), Landing Gear (Nose Landing Gear and Main Landing Gear), Middle Fuselage (Oil Maintenance, Cabin Interior), Wing, Engine Pylon, and Tail Section (Vertical Stabiliser and Horizontal Stabiliser). These solutions, such as the Reach Deck Platform, Modular Stepover Platforms, and Super Service Stand, provide crucial access for thorough and methodical service work.
