YAK-52

The YAK-52 is a two-seat primary trainer and aerobatic aircraft. Developed from the Yakovlev Yak-50, the YAK-52 first flew in 1976 and was introduced in 1979. It was originally designed as a basic training aircraft for pilots in former Warsaw Pact countries, but is now widely known for its use in aerobatic competitions globally.

The manufacturer, S C Aerostar S A, a Romanian company, took over production of the YAK-52 from the Soviet Union. Aerostar produced the aircraft between 1978 and 1998, overseeing the output of over 1,800 units. The company has also developed westernized variants, including the Iak-52W and Iak-52TW models, to meet international standards.

Maintaining this aircraft requires access solutions for various critical sections, including the Nose Section (Windshield & Cockpit, Avionics), Landing Gear (Main and Nose Landing Gear), and the Wing & Engine Pylon area for engine maintenance. Platforms and stands can facilitate thorough inspections of the Tail Section (Vertical and Horizontal Stabilisers) and general fuselage access. These modular platforms provide the first-class access needed for methodical maintenance across the entire airframe.
