XL-2

The XL-2 is a two-seat, low-wing general aviation aircraft manufactured by Liberty Aerospace of Melbourne, Florida, United States. Developed from the Europa XS kit plane, the XL-2 served as both a touring aircraft for private flyers and a flight trainer. It is notable as one of the first certified aircraft featuring FADEC (Full Authority Digital Engine Control) and is powered by a fuel-injected Continental IOF-240-B engine. Production occurred primarily between 2004 and 2011, with around 132 units built.

Liberty Aerospace manufactured the XL-2, basing the design on the Europa and utilizing a composite fuselage with aluminum wings. The company focused on producing advanced light general aviation aircraft during its operational years.

A variety of platforms and access solutions support detailed maintenance for the XL-2. These products, which include Reach Deck Platforms, Modular Stepover Platforms, Super Trestle Scaffold, and Platform Ladder Warthog, provide access to key aircraft areas. These solutions are vital for servicing critical sections such as the Nose Section (including the Windshield & Cockpit and Bulkhead), the Forward Fuselage (for cabin access and lighting systems), the Landing Gear (NLG and MLG), the Middle Fuselage/Wing Box Area, and the Wing & Engine Pylon. Comprehensive access tools ensure methodical inspection and service across all sections.
