V

The Auster V was a primary production version of the Auster series, initially developed as the Auster IV (Model G). Manufactured by Auster Aircraft Limited, the company began as Taylorcraft Aeroplanes (England) Limited in 1938 and adopted the Auster name later. The aircraft was known for its role as a military observation and liaison aircraft during World War II. The Model V featured blind flying instruments and a conventional trimmer design, serving as an observation aircraft and in various other roles. The company’s manufacturing history spanned from 1938 until 1960, when it merged to form Beagle Aircraft, with the Auster name dropped in 1962.

Access solutions, including Reach Deck Platform and Modular Stepover Platforms, can provide thorough access for maintenance across the aircraft. These platforms facilitate access to the Nose Section for avionics and cockpit maintenance, and the Forward Fuselage, particularly for cabin access and the forward wheel well. For the Landing Gear, platforms assist with both Nose and Main Landing Gear inspection and servicing.

Trestle scaffold and Super Service Stand offer adjustable height and reach for the Middle Fuselage and Wing Box Area, enabling detailed work on fuel tanks and cabin interiors. The Cantilever Platform and Bridge Deck are key for reaching the Wing & Engine Pylon areas, aiding in maintenance of the engine body, fan, and components like hydraulics and fuel systems. For the AFT Fuselage and Tail Section (Empennage), including the vertical and horizontal stabilizers and rudder, specialized platforms like the Platform Ladder and A Frame Aviation Platform ensure precise access. These maintenance assets are indispensable for methodical servicing of this light observation aircraft.
