UH-1N Twin Huey

The UH-1N Twin Huey is a foundational twin-engine medium military helicopter, part of the widely recognized Huey family. Its design is based on the single-engine UH-1H, distinguished by its dual engine configuration for improved performance and safety. The initial version, the CUH-1N Twin Huey, was first ordered by the Canadian Forces, with its inaugural flight taking place in 1969.

Bell, the manufacturer of the UH-1N, has an indispensable history in rotorcraft design. Established by Lawrence Dale Bell in 1935, the company quickly became a leading name in aviation, pioneering the development of the modern helicopter. The Huey series, starting with the Model 204/205, became one of the most successful and enduring helicopter families globally, setting a benchmark for utility and military transport that the Twin Huey continues.
