The UC-12F Huron is a light passenger and cargo airlift variant of the Beechcraft Super King Air 200, utilized by the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps starting in 1986. It is a twin-engine, pressurized aircraft that continues the legacy of its versatile King Air lineage, designed for utility transport and operational support duties. The UC-12F is powered by PT6A-41 engines.
Beechcraft, the manufacturer, was one of the foundational general aviation companies in the latter half of the 20th century. Founded in 1932 by Walter and Olive Ann Beech, the company created numerous enduring designs, beginning with the successful Model 17 “Staggerwing.” Today, as part of Textron Aviation, Beechcraft maintains a reputation for durable airframes and innovation in turboprop and piston aircraft, with the King Air series, which the C-12 is derived from, remaining a globally recognized product.
