U206

The Cessna U206 is a key variant of the venerable six-seat Model 206 aircraft line, introduced in 1964. The original U206 model featured a 285 hp Continental IO-520-A engine. The 206 series was built until 1986 when Cessna temporarily halted its single-engine production. Cessna has produced over 6,500 Model 206 aircraft since 1964.

Cessna, the manufacturer, is a foundational name in general aviation. Founded in 1927 by Clyde Cessna, the company established a legacy of designing and manufacturing light, mid-size, and business aircraft. Cessna’s aircraft are known globally for their reliability and widespread use in training, transport, and utility roles.

A range of platforms and access solutions are utilized for maintenance and inspection of the U206. These solutions, including the Reach Deck Platform, Modular Stepover Platforms, Super Trestle Scaffold, and Ultraraise, ensure detailed access across critical areas. These platforms facilitate access for sections such as the Nose Section (including the Windshield & Cockpit, and Bulkhead), the Wing Box Area, and the Wing & Engine Pylon (allowing access to the Engine body and Undercowl). Comprehensive maintenance also requires access to the Landing Gear (Nose Landing Gear and Main Landing Gear), Forward Fuselage components (like Cabin Access), AFT Fuselage, and Tail Section (including the Vertical Stabiliser and Horizontal Stabiliser). The array of stands and platforms provides necessary height access for methodical servicing across the entire aircraft.
