TU206C

The TU206C is a turbocharged variant of the foundational Cessna 206 series, known for its sturdy construction and utility role as “the sport-utility vehicle of the air.” It is highly valued as a bush plane and for various utility purposes like skydiving and aerial photography, often fitted with floats or skis. The Cessna 206 line, which remains in production, originated with the Cessna 210 and was first introduced in 1962. A turbocharged prototype, the TU206, was built for the 1965 model year. By 1977, the turbocharged engine’s horsepower was increased to 310 hp for takeoff. Manufacturing of the 206 series ran from 1962 to 1986 and resumed in 1998, with over 8,509 units built across the 205, 206, and 207 variants.
