Tu-95МС

The Tu-95MS is a cruise missile carrier variant based on the Tu-142 airframe, designed to launch weapons such as the Raduga Kh-55 cruise missile. This variant entered serial production in 1981 and continues to serve, with modernized aircraft joining the fleet in recent years. The Tu-95 itself is an iconic strategic heavy bomber developed by Tupolev in response to the need for an intercontinental platform. First flown in 1952, the aircraft entered service in 1956 and is noted for its distinctive swept wings and being one of the loudest military aircraft. Tupolev, the manufacturer, produced the Tu-95 from 1952 until 1993, building over 500 units.
