Tu-214

The Tupolev Tu-214 is a twin-engine commercial airliner and a version of the Tu-204/Tu-234 family. It is produced by Tupolev, a foundational aerospace manufacturer established in 1922 by Andrei Tupolev in the Soviet Union. The company was a leading design bureau for five decades, specializing in significant bomber and civil aircraft. Tupolev is now integrated into the United Aircraft Corporation.

The Tu-214 development model first flew in Kazan, Russia, in March 1996. The aircraft has a cruise speed of 850 km/h and a maximum range of 6,500 km. It is designed to carry up to 210 passengers in a single-class configuration.

Maintenance support for the Tu-214 utilizes various access solutions. These include platform steps and cantilever platforms, which are indispensable for access to the Nose Section (including the Radome and Windshield & Cockpit) and the Forward Fuselage (for Main Entry Door and Cargo/Baggage areas). Sturdy trestle and portable platforms support work on the Landing Gear (NLG and MLG) and the Middle Fuselage/Wing Box Area, where fuel and oil maintenance occurs. Bridge decks and service stands provide methodical access to the Wing & Engine Pylon section for work on the Engine components, Fan, and Hydraulics. Specialized platforms are also used for the AFT Fuselage and Tail Section (Empennage) for servicing APU compartments and stabilizers.
