The Tu-204CM is a modern variant in the Tu-204 family, a narrow-body jet airliner developed by the Russian manufacturer Tupolev. Designed to be broadly equivalent to aircraft like the Boeing 757, the Tu-204 was developed in the Soviet era to replace the Tu-154 trijet. The first flight of the original Tu-204 was in January 1989. The latest version, the Tu-204SM (related to the CM model), made its maiden flight in December 2010, featuring significant technical upgrades and improvements in performance and fuel efficiency.
