The Tu-204-300 is a medium-range, twin-engine aircraft developed by the Russian manufacturer Tupolev. Tupolev, an aircraft design bureau established in 1922, designed the foundational Tu-204 in the 1980s. The program aimed to create a modern replacement for the medium-range Tupolev Tu-154 trijet, positioning the new design to be broadly competitive with Western aircraft like the Boeing 757.
The Tu-204 first flew in 1989 and was introduced into service in 1996. The Tu-204-300 variant is known for offering extended range capabilities.
A range of platforms and access solutions are utilized for maintenance around this aircraft. These products support detailed maintenance for many sections of the aircraft.
For the Nose Section (Radome, Antenna, Nose Avionics, Windshield & Cockpit, Bulkhead), access platforms facilitate close-up work. Within the Forward Fuselage, platforms allow maintenance for the Main Entry Door, Cargo/Baggage areas, and Environmental Control System. Landing Gear access, for both Nose Landing Gear and Main Landing Gear, is assisted by stands and platforms.
The Middle Fuselage/Wing Box Area, which includes the Wing Box, Fuel Tanks, Cabin Interior, and Emergency Exit areas, relies on modular and bridge platforms for technician access. Work on the Wing & Engine Pylon—including the Pylon itself, Engine body, Fan, Compressor, and Turbine sections, along with Hydraulics and Fuel Tanks/Pumps—is supported by service stands and cantilever platforms. Finally, the AFT Fuselage and Tail Section (Empennage), including the Vertical and Horizontal Stabilisers and APU compartments, require specialized access for thorough inspection and repair.
