Tiger

The Tiger attack helicopter, manufactured by Airbus Helicopters, is a key military platform. Its development began during the Cold War as a European anti-tank defense system, and it had its first flight in 1991. The collapse of the Soviet Union shifted its role, and it evolved into a multirole attack helicopter now operated by several nations. Airbus Helicopters has a long history as a leading aerospace company, resulting from the merger of various major European aviation entities. The company continues to produce advanced rotary-wing aircraft for military and civilian use globally.

A variety of platforms and access solutions are available for servicing this aircraft. These allow access for comprehensive maintenance across all major sections.

Specialized access solutions support work on crucial areas. For the Nose Section, these products facilitate work on the radome, antenna, avionics, windshield, cockpit, and bulkhead. In the Forward Fuselage, platforms enable servicing of the main entry door, cargo areas, lighting systems, cabin access, environmental control system, and forward wheel well. For the Landing Gear, access is ensured for both the nose and main landing gear components. Maintenance platforms are also critical for the Middle Fuselage, supporting work on the wing box, fuel tanks, oil maintenance, cabin interior, and emergency exit mechanisms.

Other targeted solutions address the Wing & Engine Pylon areas, including the pylon itself, anti-ice systems, engine inlet/exhaust, engine body, fan, compressor, and turbine. In the AFT Fuselage, access is provided for the rear bulkhead, cargo, cabin doors, auxiliary fuel, and rear avionics. Finally, the Tail Section (Empennage) requires platforms to service the APU compartments, vertical stabilizer, horizontal stabilizer, and rudder. The array of access tools ensures detailed maintenance across the aircraft’s structure.
