TBM-3E

The TBM-3E is a version of the Avenger, a legendary torpedo bomber used by the U.S. Navy throughout World War II. Originally designed by Grumman (TBF), the majority of the nearly 10,000 aircraft produced, including the TBM variants, were built by the Eastern Aircraft division of General Motors to meet wartime demands. Known as a sturdy aircraft, the TBM-3E served in the Pacific and Atlantic, often used for anti-submarine warfare and attacking surface vessels.

Northrop Grumman is a major American aerospace and defense technology corporation, specializing in defense electronics and systems. The company was founded in 1994 through the merger of Northrop Corporation and Grumman Aerospace. The firm has a long, foundational history in aerospace, with Grumman known for designing the original Avenger.
