TB-9

The TB-9 Tampico is a four-seat touring and training monoplane, a light aircraft designed for both general aviation and pilot instruction. Unlike most other models in its lineage, the TB-9 operates without a constant-speed propeller. It is powered by a Lycoming O-320-D2A four-cylinder horizontally-opposed air-cooled engine, providing 160 horsepower. The TB-9 has proven widely used in global training and touring applications since its introduction in 1975.

The TB-9 was manufactured by Socata, a company with a long history in French aviation. Socata, originally Société de construction d’avions de tourisme et d’affaires, was founded in 1966 as a rebirth of the earlier Morane-Saulnier company. In 1970, Socata became the light plane division of the newly created Groupe Aérospatiale, which is why the manufacturer is referenced as Socata – Groupe Aerospatiale.

Access solutions, including elevated platforms, stands, and ladders, are vital for maintaining the TB-9 across its structure. Platforms and access solutions can address maintenance needs related to the Nose Section (radome, avionics, cockpit), Forward Fuselage (cabin access, wheel well access), and Landing Gear (NLG and MLG). Furthermore, they support necessary work on the Wing & Engine Pylon (engine components, fuel pumps), AFT Fuselage (bulkhead, rear avionics), and Tail Section (stabilizers, rudder).
