T-41C Mescalero

The T-41C Mescalero is a high-wing trainer aircraft derived from the foundational Cessna 172 Skyhawk, designed for military pilot candidate screening. The T-41 entered service in the 1960s, with the T-41C variant—acquired by the USAF Academy—featuring a more powerful 210 hp engine, significantly upgrading performance compared to earlier models. While much of the T-41 fleet was withdrawn by the mid-1990s, some aircraft continue to serve or are flown by civilian owners. A total of 52 T-41C units were built.

The manufacturer, Cessna, was established as a foundational name in American aviation, known for producing a wide array of reliable general aviation aircraft. The company manufactured the T-41 Mescalero between 1964 and 1996, solidifying its role in supplying aircraft for both civilian and military training.

Maintaining the T-41C Mescalero requires specialized height access solutions. Platforms and stands support detailed maintenance tasks across the aircraft, including the Nose Section (radome, avionics, and cockpit), the Landing Gear, and General Access points. Tools such as the Reach Deck Platform, Modular Stepover Platforms, Super Trestle Scaffold, and Ultraraise are utilized to achieve safe, methodical access to critical areas for inspection and servicing.
