T-38 Talon

The T-38 Talon, the world’s first supersonic jet trainer, is a foundational aircraft designed for advanced pilot instruction. Manufactured by Northrop Corporation—a predecessor to the current Northrop Grumman—the Talon made its first flight in 1959 and was introduced into service in 1961. Northrop delivered every T-38 on time and within budget until the final unit in 1972, resulting in 1,189 aircraft built. The T-38 remains operational today, primarily with the U.S. Air Force, NASA, and other global partners.

Maintaining this enduring twinjet requires specialized access. Diverse working platforms and solutions support detailed maintenance across critical aircraft sections. This includes the Nose Section (Radome, Windshield & Cockpit), Landing Gear (Nose and Main), and the Wing & Engine Pylon areas (Engine components, Hydraulics, Fuel Tanks). Furthermore, access solutions are indispensable for servicing the Forward and AFT Fuselage, including internal system access, as well as the intricate Tail Section (Vertical and Horizontal Stabiliser, Rudder).
