T-28D-5

The T-28D-5, known as the Nomad, is a powerful attack variant of the North American Aviation T-28 Trojan training aircraft. Originally designed as a tandem-seat, radial-engine military trainer, the T-28 entered service with the United States Air Force and Navy starting in the 1950s. The later D-models, including the T-28D-5, were converted for counter-insurgency and attack roles, often seeing use in conflicts like the Vietnam War due to their sturdy design and powerful engine.

North American Aviation was a foundational American aerospace manufacturer. The company, established in 1928, was responsible for developing some of the 20th century’s most iconic aircraft, including the P-51 Mustang, the F-86 Sabre, and the B-25 Mitchell. Their expertise in military aircraft design made them the ideal producer for trainers like the T-28, supporting critical defense needs for decades.

A range of platforms and access solutions are utilized for methodical maintenance and inspection across this aircraft. These products support detailed access to all critical sections, including the nose, landing gear, wing box area, and empennage.
