SV 4 C

The SV 4 C is an iteration of the Stampe-Vertongen SV.4 biplane, a classic trainer aircraft with a history dating back to the 1930s. The SV.4 was originally designed in Belgium, with subsequent variants, including the SV 4 C, being built under license. While the SV.4’s origin predates Airbus Helicopters, the aircraft is listed under this manufacturer in the context of legacy or production rights. Airbus Helicopters, a division of the Airbus Group, is a global leader in rotorcraft manufacturing, formed from the merger of Aérospatiale and DaimlerChrysler Aerospace’s helicopter divisions (Aérospatiale being the successor to companies that produced the SV.4).

Maintenance access to this aircraft can be achieved across various sections using specialized platforms and solutions. Reach deck platforms and modular stepover platforms offer adaptable height access, proving beneficial for the Nose Section (Windshield & Cockpit, Avionics), Forward Fuselage (Cabin Access), and Middle Fuselage (Cabin Interior).

For servicing the Wing & Engine Pylon areas (e.g., Engine body, Inlet/Exhaust), super service stands and maintenance platforms provide foundational access. The sturdy design of trestle scaffold and cantilever platforms is ideal for broader access requirements, including the AFT Fuselage and the Tail Section (Vertical and Horizontal Stabilisers). Platform ladders and A frame platforms offer indispensable access for lower-level or general maintenance points.
