STAMPE SV-4B

The STAMPE SV-4B is a foundational biplane trainer aircraft with tandem open cockpits. Designed in Belgium by Jean Stampe and Maurice Vertongen in the 1930s, the SV.4 became renowned for its excellent aerobatic qualities, making it a classic choice for primary flight training and recreational aviation. The SV-4B specifically denotes a variant often built under license.

SNCAN (Société Nationale de Constructions Aéronautiques du Nord) was one of several nationalized French aircraft manufacturers formed in 1936 from the consolidation of various private firms. Following World War II, SNCAN took on the crucial task of mass-producing the SV-4 for French military and civilian use, particularly models like the SV-4C and variations similar to the SV-4B. This mass production cemented the aircraft’s legacy in French aviation, ensuring its continued presence in the skies decades after its initial design.

For maintaining the SV-4B, various access solutions support the required detailed work. Elevated platforms and stands are necessary for comprehensive work on the Wing, including the Engine and associated components. Simple platforms are useful for general access to the fuselage and Tail Section, supporting maintenance for the Vertical and Horizontal Stabilizers. Modular platforms also offer customizable access for the entire airframe, including the Cockpit area within the Nose Section.
