ST3-KR

The ST3-KR is a classic military primary trainer aircraft, a pivotal variant in the Ryan ST (Sport Trainer) series. Distinguished by its sturdy, fixed tricycle landing gear, the ST3-KR was utilized extensively by the US Army Air Corps during World War II for foundational pilot training. The aircraft’s foundational design provided an excellent platform for teaching essential flying skills.

RYAN Aeronautical, the company behind the ST series, was a foundational name in American aviation. Founded by T. Claude Ryan in 1934, the company’s roots trace back to 1925. RYAN gained early prominence for building the “Spirit of St. Louis,” flown by Charles Lindbergh. During WWII, RYAN shifted focus to military production, with the ST series trainers becoming a major success.

The training aircraft requires methodical and detailed maintenance access. Mobile access equipment is optimal for addressing various sections of this aircraft, including the Nose Section (Windshield & Cockpit access), Landing Gear, and the Wing & Engine Pylon. These mobile platforms and stands provide foundational solutions for thorough checks and upkeep around the airframe.
