SNJ-5

The SNJ-5 is a variant of the North American “Texan,” an iconic, single-engine advanced trainer aircraft. Used extensively by the U.S. military, including the Navy and Coast Guard, the SNJ-5 served crucial roles in proficiency training, courier, liaison, and administrative duties between 1943 and 1958.

North American Aviation has a foundational history in American aerospace, established in 1928. The company became one of the industry’s leaders, responsible for legendary aircraft from the World War II era, including the P-51 Mustang fighter and the B-25 Mitchell bomber, as well as the Texan trainer series, which encompassed the SNJ line. Its manufacturing legacy established its prominence in the development of military aviation.

A range of platforms and access solutions are available for this aircraft. These solutions—including the Reach Deck Platform, Modular Stepover Platforms, Super Trestle Scaffold, Ultraraise, and Super Service Stand—support detailed inspection and servicing. They provide height access for areas such as the Nose Section (radome, avionics, cockpit), the Forward Fuselage (entry doors, cargo), and the Wing & Engine Pylon. These access products are indispensable for maintaining the aircraft’s Main Landing Gear and Tail Section (vertical and horizontal stabilizers).
