SA226AT

The SA226AT is the Swearingen Merlin IVA, a pressurized twin-turboprop aircraft designed for business transport. Swearingen Aircraft, founded by Ed Swearingen, began the production of the Merlin series in the mid-1960s in San Antonio, Texas. The company later went through several ownership changes, including being acquired by Fairchild. Production of the Merlin aircraft spanned from 1965 to 1998, establishing a foundational presence in the regional and corporate aviation market.

A variety of maintenance access solutions support this aircraft for routine servicing. Platforms, modular stepover platforms, and cantilever platforms offer access to the engine pylon area, facilitating detailed work on the inlet, exhaust, fan, and turbine sections. Stands and trestle scaffold provide sturdy access to the main landing gear, forward fuselage for cabin and cargo access, and the tail section for maintenance of the vertical and horizontal stabilizers. Specialized units, such as A-frame platforms and aviation chocks, further streamline access across the aircraft, including the nose section for radome and avionics work, and general fuselage maintenance.
