S-76A

The S-76A is the foundational production variant of Sikorsky’s S-76 medium-size utility helicopter. Sikorsky Aircraft, a United States manufacturer, began developing the S-76 in the mid-1970s, specifically targeting the commercial market for corporate travel and the oil drilling industry. Drawing upon its S-70 technology, the S-76 design featured twin turboshaft engines and a four-bladed main rotor. The S-76 prototype first flew in March 1977, and the S-76A model was introduced with its first delivery in 1979. The S-76A, powered by Allison 250-C30 engines, was a successful launch for the series, with 284 units manufactured.

A range of platforms and access solutions are utilized for thorough servicing of this aircraft. These products, including the Reach Deck Platform, Modular Stepover Platforms, Super Trestle Scaffold, and Super Maintenance Platform, provide access across the entire airframe. They support maintenance tasks on the Nose Section (Windshield & Cockpit), Landing Gear (NLG + MLG), and the AFT Fuselage (APU Compartments). Other access equipment enables maintenance on the Wing & Engine Pylon (Engine Inlet/Exhaust, Hydraulics) and the Tail Section (Vertical Stabiliser, Horizontal Stabiliser, Rudder).
