The RQ-4 Global Hawk is a high-altitude, long-endurance remotely piloted aircraft system designed for reconnaissance. For the nose section (including radome, antenna, and avionics), forward fuselage (including environmental control systems and wheel wells), and landing gear, height-adjustable access platforms like the Reach Deck Platform, Ultraraise, and Platform Ladder Warthog provide access. Modular Stepover Platforms and Bridge Decks assist with crossing obstacles around the middle fuselage (wing box and fuel tanks).
Cantilever Platforms and Super Maintenance Platforms offer precise access for the wing and engine pylon areas, facilitating thorough maintenance of the pylon, anti-ice systems, and all engine components (inlet, exhaust, fan, turbine, and hydraulics). Specialized access stands support the AFT fuselage (bulkhead, avionics, and APU compartments) and the tail section (vertical/horizontal stabilizers and rudder). Aviation Chock and Cone Trolleys are also indispensable for general access and movement around the aircraft.
