R610

The R610, officially known as the Brumby 610 Evolution, is an Australian two-seat light training and sport high-wing monoplane. Designed by Phil Goard and produced by Brumby Aircraft Australia, this aircraft is available as both a factory-built plane and a kit aircraft.

Brumby Aircraft Australia builds the R610 at Cowra Airport in New South Wales. The R610 was developed from the earlier Brumby 600 model, with the prototype R610 first flying in March 2011. By 2014, eight units had been delivered. One factory-built R610 was the first aircraft in Australia to be equipped with the Lycoming O-233 engine, highlighting its design flexibility. The aircraft is designed for stability and efficient performance, with a cruise speed of 204 km/h and an endurance of six hours.

A range of specialized platforms and access solutions are utilized to support maintenance for the R610. Tools like modular stepover platforms and various service stands address access needs across sections, including the nose, forward fuselage, and landing gear. Other equipment, such as cantilever platforms and specific ladder systems, ensure maintenance personnel can reach critical areas like the wing box, fuel tanks, and the tail section (empennage). This comprehensive approach ensures detailed and methodical access for all maintenance requirements.
