R182RG

The R182RG Skylane retractable is a high-performance, single-engine aircraft produced by Cessna. It is valued as a sturdy cross-country traveler, commonly achieving a 150-knot cruise speed.

Cessna, a foundational name in American aviation, has a manufacturing history dating back to 1927. The company is celebrated for popularizing general aviation aircraft. The R182RG model was introduced in 1978 as a retractable gear variant of the fixed-gear R182 Skylane, aiming for increased speed and efficiency. Almost 600 units were manufactured in its debut year.

A range of platforms and access solutions are utilized around this aircraft. These items address maintenance needs across various sections, including the Nose Section (for radome and avionics access), the Forward Fuselage (for cabin access and environmental control system work), the Landing Gear (both Nose and Main), the Middle Fuselage / Wing Box Area (critical for fuel tank and oil maintenance), the Wing, and the Tail Section (Empennage). These solutions—such as deck platforms, modular stepover platforms, scaffold, and service stands—provide detailed and first-class access for maintaining all aircraft surfaces and components.
