PZL-104 WILGA 35

The PZL-104 Wilga 35 is a foundational Polish short take-off and landing (STOL) utility aircraft. Known for its strong performance in diverse roles—including glider towing, parachute training, and air ambulance work—the Wilga series began in the early 1960s. Its distinctive, high-lift wing and sturdy landing gear make it highly versatile for operating from unprepared fields.

The aircraft was manufactured by PZL Warszawa-Okecie, a major player in Polish aviation history. The plant originated as a state-owned enterprise in 1937, taking over the Centralne Warsztaty Lotnicze (Central Aviation Workshops). Following WWII, the facility focused on developing both original Polish designs and licensed Soviet aircraft. The company became Polskie Zakłady Lotnicze (PZL) Okęcie, responsible for a number of indigenous designs, with the PZL-104 Wilga becoming one of its most recognizable and successful exports, produced over several decades.

Various access platforms and stands are used for routine maintenance on the PZL-104 Wilga 35. These solutions ensure technicians can safely reach all critical areas, including the engine for oil maintenance, the forward fuselage for cabin access and systems checks, and the tail section for rudder and stabilizer inspections. They are indispensable for efficient upkeep of the landing gear (both main and nose) and wing systems.
