PROCTOR MK I

The PROCTOR MK I is the foundational variant of the British radio trainer and communications aircraft utilized during the Second World War. This single-engined, low-wing monoplane was primarily configured with three seats to facilitate the critical training of Wireless Operators. It first flew on October 8, 1939, and the series as a whole saw over 1,100 units built for users including the Royal Air Force and Fleet Air Arm.

Percival Aircraft was established in 1933 by Edgar Percival in Gravesend, UK, to produce his unique aircraft designs. The company was restructured in 1936 as Percival Aircraft Ltd. and relocated operations to Luton Airport. The manufacturer became an integral element of the Hunting Group in 1944, continuing its legacy in British aviation.
