PL-12/T300

The PL-12/T300 is a dedicated agricultural aircraft and a powerful variant of the Transavia PL-12 Airtruk. This unique aircraft, easily recognized by its deep fuselage and twin tail booms, was designed by Luigi Pellarini. As a renowned topdresser, the PL-12 is celebrated for its sturdy build and maneuverability, making it successful in farming operations worldwide. The PL-12-300 variant is specifically powered by a 300 hp Rolls-Royce Continental IO-520-D engine.

Transavia Corporation, the manufacturer, produced nearly 140 units of the Airtruk between 1966 and 1993. The aircraft was developed from the earlier PL-11 Airtruck design. This foundational lineage established Transavia as a key producer of functional, specialized aerial application planes.

A range of platforms and access solutions are available for maintenance on this aircraft. For servicing the Nose Section, Forward Fuselage, and Middle Fuselage/Wing Box Area, equipment like modular stepover platforms and various service stands are indispensable. The Wing & Engine Pylon section—including components like the engine inlet, fan, and hydraulics—can be accessed using specialized aviation platforms and cantilever stands. Maintenance tasks related to the Landing Gear, AFT Fuselage, and Tail Section (Empennage) are also supported by these various access solutions.
