PC-6/B2-H4

The Pilatus PC-6/B2-H4 is a distinguished variant of the foundational PC-6 Porter, an aircraft famed for its Short Take-Off and Landing (STOL) capability. The B2-H4 model, a later evolution, features improved airframe structuring and extended, upturned wingtips. The PC-6 is renowned as a single-engine utility turboprop, capable of operating in demanding environments with a maximum takeoff weight of 1,960 kg. It can carry up to 10 people or a payload of 1,130 kg.

The manufacturer, Pilatus, is a foundational Swiss aerospace company established in 1939. Operating from Stans, Switzerland, Pilatus has built a reputation for designing and manufacturing specialized aircraft, particularly high-performance turboprops. The PC-6 Porter program launched in the late 1950s, with the first flight occurring in May 1959. It quickly became an indispensable platform globally for its versatility, serving in roles from transport and paradropping to search and rescue.

To support the maintenance and accessibility of the PC-6/B2-H4, a range of access platforms and solutions are applicable. Modular platforms and trestle scaffold systems can provide access to the Wing & Engine Pylon section for work on the turbine, compressor, and anti-ice systems. Stands and deck platforms are ideal for servicing the Nose Section (windshield and avionics), Forward Fuselage (cabin access and cargo), and Landing Gear components. Bridge Deck and cantilever solutions are beneficial for reaching the Tail Section, including the vertical and horizontal stabilizers.
