Pilatus Aircraft, Ltd., the Swiss manufacturer, began its legacy in 1939 out of a wartime necessity to build and maintain aircraft within neutral Switzerland’s borders. The company established a reputation for sturdy, functional designs with early projects like the P-2 trainer and the iconic PC-6 Porter, a short-takeoff-and-landing (STOL) workhorse introduced in 1959.
The PC-12, first manufactured from 1991 to the present, was Pilatus’ first aircraft directed principally at the civil market. The PC-12/45 is an early variant, gaining FAA approval on July 31, 1996. It is known for its single-engine turboprop design, operational versatility, and reputation as a reliable business and utility transport aircraft.
A variety of working platforms and access solutions facilitate methodical maintenance across the PC-12/45. Access equipment, including platform ladders, trestle scaffold, modular platforms, and cantilever platforms, supports maintenance needs for key aircraft sections. These products ensure safe access to the nose section (radome, avionics, and cockpit), the landing gear (NLG and MLG), and the wing and engine pylon for essential engine inspections. Detailed access is also provided for the forward and aft fuselage sections, including cabin doors, cargo areas, and the tail section (empennage).
