PA-60-601 (AEROSTAR 601)

The PA-60-601 (Aerostar 601) is a light twin-engine pressurized aircraft known for its high speed. The design originated with Ted Smith Aircraft Company, with the 601 variant first built in 1971. Ted Smith began production of the Aerostar line in 1967. The manufacturing history saw the design acquired by Piper Aircraft Corporation in 1978, where production continued under the PA-60 designation.
