Piper Aircraft has a foundational history in general aviation, tracing its roots back to 1927 in Rochester, New York. After an initial period under different names, William T. Piper established the Piper Aircraft Corporation in 1937, leading to the creation of iconic aircraft like the Piper Cub. The company relocated to Lock Haven, Pennsylvania, and continued to produce a variety of popular models, later opening a manufacturing division in Lakeland, Florida.

A range of platforms and access solutions are utilized to support maintenance operations on this aircraft. For the Nose Section, including the radome, antenna, nose avionics, windshield/cockpit, and bulkhead, access platforms are available. These solutions also support the Forward Fuselage (Main Entry Door, cargo/baggage, and cabin access), Landing Gear (Nose and Main), and the Middle Fuselage/Wing Box Area (wing box, fuel tanks, and oil maintenance). Access platforms also facilitate thorough inspection and service of the AFT Fuselage and Tail Section (Empennage), including the vertical and horizontal stabilizers. Access platforms, stepover systems, and trestle scaffolds provide necessary height access for general maintenance across the airframe.
