The PA-23-160 Apache is a light, twin-engine aircraft manufactured by PIPER Aircraft. The foundational PA-23 design originated in the 1950s, initially conceived as the Twin Stinson. After PIPER acquired the design, they refined it into the Apache.
The PA-23-160 model specifically features upgraded 160 hp engines and was introduced in 1958. This aircraft was part of a successful series of piston-engine private and trainer aircraft, with 816 units of the Apache 160 built. The aircraft is recognized for its role as a trainer and light transport during its production run from the 1950s to the 1980s.
PIPER Aircraft has a long, foundational history in general aviation, known for producing a wide range of popular, accessible aircraft. The company began manufacturing aircraft in the late 1920s and established itself as one of the “Big Three” manufacturers of light aircraft.
Access solutions aid in maintaining all sections of this aircraft. Reach Deck Platforms, Modular Stepover Platforms, and Super Trestle Scaffold facilitate work on the Wing & Engine Pylon for tasks such as Inlet/Exhaust and Fan maintenance, and are valuable for access to the Tail Section components like the Vertical and Horizontal Stabilisers. Stands and platforms also provide access to the Nose Section for Windshield & Cockpit work, the Forward Fuselage for Cabin Access, and the Landing Gear (NLG + MLG). For the Middle Fuselage and AFT Fuselage, platforms support detailed work on fuel systems and rear avionics.
