PA-22-135

The PA-22-135 is a foundational three-seat aircraft produced by PIPER Aircraft. Certified in 1954, this model is part of the Tri-Pacer series, distinguished by its tricycle landing gear, which made it easier for new pilots to handle compared to the conventional-gear Pacer (PA-20). The PA-22-135 is powered by a 135 hp Lycoming O-290-D2 engine, offering reliable performance for personal transportation and training.

PIPER Aircraft’s history began with the Taylor Brothers Aircraft Company in the late 1920s, with William T. Piper investing in and later taking over the company in 1937, renaming it Piper Aircraft Corporation. Piper became synonymous with accessible general aviation, producing iconic aircraft like the J-3 Cub. The PA-22 series was a continuation of this legacy, providing high-wing, four-place aircraft that proved highly popular after World War II.

A range of platforms and access solutions assists with essential maintenance tasks across the PA-22-135. These products, which include deck platforms, modular stepover platforms, and service stands, facilitate thorough inspection of the Nose Section, particularly the Windshield & Cockpit and Bulkhead. They also provide necessary access to the Landing Gear, Wing & Engine Pylon for servicing the engine components, and the Tail Section (Empennage) for work on the Vertical and Horizontal Stabilizers.
