PA-18-150/A1

The PA-18-150/A1 is a variant of the legendary Piper PA-18 Super Cub, a light utility aircraft known for its versatility and exceptional short takeoff and landing (STOL) performance. The Super Cub series has served as a foundational platform for training, towing, surveillance, and bush flying since its introduction in 1949, building on the success of earlier Piper designs like the J-3 Cub.

The manufacturer, PIPER Aircraft, traces its origins to the 1920s with the Taylor Brothers Aircraft Corporation, later becoming Piper Aircraft Corporation in 1937 under William T. Piper. Piper became synonymous with affordable, simple, and reliable aviation, producing thousands of aircraft that defined the general aviation market.

A range of platforms and access solutions assists with maintenance across this aircraft. For accessing the engine and propeller area, as well as the Wing & Engine Pylon section (including the engine body, inlet/exhaust, and fuel tanks/pumps), platforms such as the Ultraraise and Super Service Stand provide necessary vertical reach. Inspection and maintenance of the landing gear (NLG + MLG) benefit from compact access equipment like Modular Stepover Platforms. For the Tail Section (Empennage), including the vertical and horizontal stabilizers, specialized Cantilever Platforms offer safe access without stressing delicate components. General access to the fuselage and cabin entry doors (Forward Fuselage/Cabin Access) can be effectively managed with the Easyraise or Platform Ladder Warthog.
