P206C

The Cessna P206C is a six-seat, single-engine, high-wing aircraft, part of the 206 series known for its utility and durability. The “P” designation in the P206 series, introduced in 1965, stands for “Passenger,” distinguishing it from the cargo versions by featuring passenger doors on both sides, similar to the Cessna 210 from which it was derived. The P206C variant specifically, certified in 1967, was powered by a Continental IO-520-A engine delivering 285 hp. Production of the P206, sometimes marketed as the “Super Skylane,” ran from 1965 to 1970, with 647 units built across all sub-variants (P206 to P206E).

Cessna, the manufacturer, has a long history in general aviation, beginning its extensive production runs of single-engine aircraft in the mid-20th century. The original Cessna 206 model was introduced in 1964. Cessna halted production of its single-engine piston aircraft line in 1986 but re-introduced it in 1998, continuing the legacy of dependable, sturdy aircraft.

Maintenance around the P206C is supported by a variety of stands and platforms. Products like the Reach Deck Platform and Easyraise can facilitate access to the Nose Section components, including the windshield, cockpit, and avionics. Modular Stepover Platforms and Super Trestle Scaffold are invaluable for Forward Fuselage areas, aiding work on the main entry door, cargo/baggage areas, and lighting systems.

For the Landing Gear (NLG and MLG) and the middle fuselage/wing box area (including fuel tanks and oil maintenance), platforms such as the Ultraraise and Super Service Stand offer ideal access. Cantilever Platforms provide overhead access needed for the Tail Section’s vertical and horizontal stabilizers, and the Super Maintenance Platform supports detailed, methodical work on the Wing & Engine Pylon components like the inlet/exhaust and accessories. A wide selection of access solutions, including A Frame Aviation Platforms and Platform Ladder Warthog, addresses General Access needs across the aircraft.
